1. Is the competition entry pricing only 10p?
No, all competitions entry pricing are 10% of the value of the item. I.e. a competition where a TV is the prize and the value of the TV is £100.00, the entry pricing
for the competition is £10.00. But all members
can choose to enter from 10p (one token) to £10.00 (100 tokens). By entering less tokens the competitor maybe reducing his/hers chance of winning.
2. How is the winner selected?
All tokens in a competition have the same chances of winning. Dedimi has an advanced system that truly generates a random number, which will select the winning token. The first selected token with the correct answer will be the winner.
3. Can I upload only used items for competition?
No, you as a member can list new and used items for competition and or for sale. Please check our Prohibited and Restricted Items Policy for more information.
4. When does a competition ends?
All competitions run for 7 days (168 hours). But all competitions must achieve the minimum amount of tokens to meet the value of the item and other involved costs. If the competition has not achieved the “reserved” amount of tokens, it will be automatically be renewed for another 168 hours and so on.
5. A competition is taking too long, how can I get my token(s) back?
If you have placed tokens in a competition that has been automatically renewed and your token(s) have been on this competition for 168 hours or more, you can withdraw the competition at anytime by clicking on remove tokens on your account section . All token(s) will be credited back into your Dedimi account.
6. How can I be sure that the competition will generate the amount of money I want for my item?
All competitions end 7 days (168 hours) after the item has been listed and uploaded. The competitions that fail to meet the “reserved” value will be automatically renewed for 168 hours and so on. The “reserve” is the value of the item (entered by you at the listing process) plus other costs i.e. the delivery cost informed by you at the listing process. Dedimi is not responsible for giving valuations for items, delivery and any other cost related to the sale of the item.
7. What happens when an item is up for sale and competition at the same time and someone buys the item? Do I lose my tokens?
No, when someone purchase an item that is also up for competition, automatically all token(s) placed in that competition will be automatically refunded into the Dedimi member’s account. This includes the tokens with the wrong answer too.
